After some nudges from friends and family, I’m excited to introduce the first print in my Holiday Collection! Painting has been something I’ve enjoyed for as long as I can remember – whether that’s on a paper or canvas, piece of furniture, or even the walls in our home. Each print below can be purchased as a bundle or individually (available in 5″x7″, 8″x10″, and 11″x14″).

Isaiah 9:6

Isaiah 9:6

With my love of gift-giving and continual hunt for meaningful art for our walls, I started here with “Isaiah 9:6” (pictured is an 8″x10″).

Great is Thy Faithfulness

The lyrics of “Great is Thy Faithfulness” have been the melody of my pregnancy. Maybe because my lack of control is magnified. But oh how in every season – literal, relational, spiritual – I need to look back to be reminded of how God has shown His faithfulness over and over again…in “summer and winter and springtime and harvest.” So every time I start to worry, this song is what I sing. Since this hymn has been such a huge part of my days, I couldn’t help but paint something to remind me! These four prints – which I call Great is Thy Faithfulness – are part of my Holiday Collection.

Stars

Stars

It’s always a good trip when I get to paint with Roseberry & Co. 24 hours with Jessie is never enough, but oh so sweet. She’s so generous with her materials and her amazing gift – the best coach to “just go for it!” I’m so so proud of her! I painted this based on one of Mike’s favorite lyrics: “You’re the One who holds the stars.” – Skillet.

I Lava You

Lava

I thought I’d paint another hand-lettered phrase to hang in our hallway, but my friend encouraged me to paint something that was meaningful to Mike and I. As you could imagine, a million ideas swirled in my head (but yet none at the same time).

And then one jumped out: Lava. It comes from the short film shown before the movie Inside Out. They sing about “I lava you.” So sometimes, Mike and I say “lava!” instead of “I love you.”

Now when we leave our home, this is what we see.

A side note here to say I used to paint all the time, but this was my first try at painting with watercolor – so much fun to learn. Thankful for my buddy that generously shared her craft (+ supplies) and encouraged me to do something out of my comfort zone. It doesn’t haven’t to be perfect to be beautiful.
