When chatting with friends, I often find that while we could be hunting for the same type of item for our home we often have different price ranges. What I might want to splurge on, my friend may need a more affordable option and vice versa.
I think it helps us by thinking in this language because we can still have a great style no matter our budget. Each family has their own budget, priorities, and list of projects. I’m trying to fight that comparison game, friends! It’s very good to look at our own budget, balance the items that we need or want, and then prioritize when and how much we desire to spend.
So, let me introduce the first ever post in my series: Simple, Savvy, Splurge. Each month we’ll have a different item we’re looking at. I’ll share three different price ranges of that item with various shapes and sizes. I hope it will be helpful to you!
The Hunt for Planters:
Like I shared in this post, my wooden planter broke this past season, so I’m looking for something new for my front porch. If you’re looking for one too, here are a few of my favorite options. I hope it’s helpful!

We purchased a few planters to test on our porch; sometimes it’s nice to see them in person! Check out the ones we tried out below and stay tuned for an upcoming post revealing which planter we ended up choosing!
What would you like our next Simple, Savvy, and Splurge item to be?
